It is tracked by the industry and is a bona fide stat which has a Wikipedia page.

Notable power hitters like Judge can earn them like some of the best hitters in the sport.

Not every Golden Sombrero is notable; usually a career first (regular and postseason)

Unfortunately, the parameter listed in the infobox is birthplace and not hometown. It's a bit weird and leads to things like Gerald Ford's only mention of Grand Rapids in his infobox being his high school. However, it seems like that same field is not available on this infobox. Records

Some of the records aren’t really worthy of being up there. Judge is a fantastic player but some of those unique milestones seem like the belong on sports sites rather than here. I believe it needs some cleaning up. Do we really need the fact that he is third Yankee with multiple 50 HR seasons? That isn’t a record. Babe has the franchise record with 4.

He will have more awards coming that are definitely more noteworthy. Also his contract potentially will be a record Capriaf (talk) 23:57, 15 October 2022 (UTC)

MOS:LINK states that it is a consideration and not a rule against linking side by side. Both the sport and position are important links, and side by side links are generally more appropriate towards the beginning of an article. side by side links are generally more appropriate towards the beginning of an article is nonsense, and not consistent with the relevant guidelines - they are an accessibility issue, no less so when appearing early. As MOS:LINK indicates, linking to the more specific article is appropriate - the position article contextualizes it within the sport, and provides a link to the broader article for those needing more details. That simply isn't true: prior to the past couple weeks, the unlinked version had been stable for months. In any event, we have two editors here supportive of the solution of unlinking baseball; do you have an alternative compromise you'd like to propose rather than continuing to edit-war? As already noted, the WikiProject sample biography uses an alternative phrasing that does not position links side by side. There is also an older version which uses a different alternative phrasing. I see that you attempted to change that to what you preferred and were not successful.
