Gabriel Kulla (born 20 February 2008) is an Albanian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Serie A club Sassuolo and the Albania under-19 national team.[1]
Club career
[edit]Kulla started playing football in 2017 at the age of nine with local club Djelmnia Shkodrane in Shkodër, where he spent two years.[2]
In 2023, Kulla joined Sasso Marconi, initially training with the club's youth team before being promoted to the first team in Eccellenza after the club's sporting director recognised his ability. On 12 November 2023 he made his senior debut at the age of 15 years and 264 days, scoring the winning goal in a 1–0 victory, and helped the club earn promotion to Serie D at the end of the season.[3][4]
In 2024, he joined Sassuolo's academy, progressing through the club's youth ranks,[5] playing for its Primavera side in the 2025–26 Campionato Primavera 1 season, making 37 appearances, mostly as a starter, scoring 16 goals,[1] and providing eight assists, while was named the league's best striker at the Primavera Best Awards.[6]
He made his Serie A debut on 23 August 2026, coming on as a late substitute in Sassuolo's 2–1 defeat to Atalanta.[7]
International career
[edit]At international level, Kulla represented Albania U17 and U19, recording a total of 17 appearances and 9 goals since 2024.[8]
