Draft talk:Mandy Sand
Add topicOn the age (or not) of the cited sources
[edit]On 18 May, I (Hoary) posted the following atop the draft, as an AfC reviewer's comment:
If He is [present tense, emphasis added] primarily known for his contributions to the genres of Surrealism and Fantastic realism, with his works featured in art collections and museums across Israel and internationally, including France, Italy, Germany, and North America then it's rather surprising that the newest reference currently provided is a quarter of a century old. And are no sound references available online?
On 19 May, Mandy Sand Legacy posted (at the foot of the draft) the following response:
Hi Hoary, thank you for your comment.
To address your concerns, the subject has been featured in recent exhibitions and international coverage within the last few years. For example, his work was showcased at the Future Landscapes 2021 exhibition at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello in Venice, which was followed by an extensive international interview about his legacy published by the art platform Itsliquid in August 2021: https://www.itsliquid.com/interview-mandysand.html
Additionally, a national television feature about his retrospective exhibition was broadcasted in June 2017 on Israel's Channel 10/13.
Please note that a fully sourced and approved version of his biography already exists on the Hebrew Wikipedia (מנדי סנד). I am currently working on integrating these newer online references into this English draft and adjusting the tone to ensure strict encyclopedic neutrality.
Thank you for your guidance!
