RackBank Datacenters Pvt. Ltd. is an Indian data center and cloud computing company headquartered in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Founded in 2013 by Narendra Sen, the company operates colocation, dedicated hosting and AI-focused compute facilities. In 2025, it inaugurated the first data centre campus in the state of Chhattisgarh.[1][2]

History

RackBank was founded in 2013 by Narendra Sen, an entrepreneur based in Indore.[2][3] The company began operations from Crystal IT Park, a Special Economic Zone in Indore.[3]

In its early years, RackBank focused on dedicated server hosting, colocation, managed hosting and disaster-recovery services from its Indore facility.[3]

RackBank's original facility is located inside Crystal IT Park SEZ in Indore. In 2024, the company announced an 80 MW AI-optimised data centre in Indore, to be built in four phases of 20 MW each, with capacity for up to 60,000 GPUs at full build-out. The facility is designed for rack densities between 50 kW and 150 kW and targets a Power usage effectiveness of 1.1 to 1.3.[3]

Raipur AI DataCenter Park

On 6 May 2025, RackBank inaugurated its AI DataCenter Park in Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The facility was inaugurated by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai in the presence of state ministers Lakhan Lal Dewangan and O. P. Choudhary.[1][2]

Spread across 13.5 acres, the campus was built at an initial investment of 1,000 crore, scalable to 3,000 crore over five years.[1][4] The first phase has 80 MW of power capacity, scalable to 160 MW across four phases, and is designed to house more than 100,000 GPUs.[4] The park is the first data centre campus in Chhattisgarh and is developed within a Special Economic Zone.[5]

The facility uses direct-to-chip cooling and RackBank's proprietary Varuna liquid immersion cooling system, which the company states can reduce cooling costs by up to 70 per cent.[2][4] According to the Chhattisgarh government, the project is expected to generate around 500 direct and 1,500 indirect jobs.[5]
