Maya Elzein Davis, also known as Maya Elz Davis, Elz and CHEF ELZ, is an American entrepreneur and business executive. She co-founded Labs Companies with her husband, Duránd F. Davis Jr., and serves as its executive vice chairwoman, president and chief ecosystem strategy officer.[1][2]
Career
[edit]According to her company biography, Davis worked on technology-transformation programs for United States federal agencies through PowerBridge and later organized that work within Maya Industries Group. The biography also states that she co-founded the financial-services holding company MDFG Inc. with Duránd Davis in 2021.[2]
In January 2025, Davis and her husband founded Labs Companies, an artificial-intelligence and technology company based in Santa Monica, California.[1][3] Her responsibilities include the company's ecosystem strategy and the coordination of its laboratories, products and partnerships.[2] She is also credited by the company as a co-creator of Yuhmmy, a mobile social-networking application developed within LavLabs.[2][4]
Creative work
[edit]Davis uses the names Elz and CHEF ELZ for creative work. Her official biography describes her work as including professional cooking, sketch art, fashion design and product design.[2]
