Krish Hassan is an Indian actor who predominantly works in Tamil and Malayalam films. After undergoing theatre training as a stage artist, he entered the film industry through independent projects before appearing in mainstream Tamil and Malayalam cinema. He is known for his roles in Mura (2024), Vettaiyan (2024), sakthi thirumagan (2025)and Mandaadi.[1]

Early life

Krish Hassan was born in Kumbakonam, Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu, India.[2]

He developed an interest in cinema from a young age and underwent theatre training for several months as a stage artist. He also attended a cinematography workshop conducted by filmmaker K. V. Anand, which inspired him to pursue a career in acting and filmmaking.[3]

Before entering films, Krish recreated iconic movie characters on social media and gained recognition for his recreation of the character Rolex from Vikram.[4]

Career

Krish began his acting career in 2021 with an unreleased feature film. In the same year, he was cast in the lead role in Fernandes, an independent film that remains unreleased.[5]

Following several auditions and acting workshops, he made appearances in mainstream Tamil cinema. In 2023, he appeared in Varisu, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, portraying a kidnapper.[6]

Apart from feature films, Krish worked in short films, music videos and as a dubbing artist for several productions.[7]

In 2024, he appeared in Thangalaan, directed by Pa. Ranjith.[8]

The same year, he portrayed Sathish (Guna's friend) in Vettaiyan.[9]

Krish made his Malayalam cinema debut with Mura, directed by Muhammed Musthafa and produced by Shibu Thameens under HR Pictures, portraying Malar.[10]

He later appeared in the Disney+ Hotstar series Chutney Sambar, directed by Radha Mohan.[11]

Krish subsequently portrayed an underage convict and murderer in Sakthithirumagan.[12]

He is also one of the lead actors and plays the principal antagonist in the upcoming action drama Mandaadi.[13]
