KMS Technology is an American software engineering and information technology services company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 2009 as a U.S-based services company, it has grown into a global organisation with offices in United States, Vietnam, Mexico and Poland. The company provides product engineering, software quality assurance, data and artificial intelligence services.[1]
History
[edit]KMS Technology was founded in 2009 as a United States–based services company with digital engineering operations in Vietnam. According to its co-founders, the company was conceived from the outset as a platform to incubate and spin off intellectual-property–based software companies.[1]
Through an internal incubator, KMS Technology developed and helped launch several software products that became independent companies.[2] Among the earliest was QASymphony, an Atlanta-based enterprise test-management company whose qTest platform was used by more than 400 organisations, including Salesforce, Barclays, Adobe and Verizon. After raising a US$40 million round led by Insight Venture Partners, QASymphony merged with the Austrian testing firm Tricentis in June 2018.[3][4]
KMS also originated Katalon, a test-automation platform first released as Katalon Studio in 2016. Operating as an independent company led by KMS co-founder Vu Lam, Katalon raised a US$27 million Series A round led by Elephant Venture Capital in 2021 and grew to serve users in more than 160 countries.[5][6] A further spin-off, Kobiton, a mobile-application testing company, was established in 2016 and raised a US$5 million Series A round led by BIP Capital in 2019.[7][1]
In 2025, the company undertook a brand consolidation and repositioned itself around artificial-intelligence services.[8] The same year it made several executive appointments, including a new Vietnam managing director, Nguyễn Lâm Vinh Dự,[9] and senior leaders including chief growth officer Choon Aun Quek,[10] chief technology officer Guy M. Merritt,[11] and chief financial officer Luis Pereira.[12] In November 2024, the private-equity firm Sunstone Partners announced a strategic investment in KMS Technology to support its growth and the expansion of its service offerings.[13]
In December 2025, KMS Technology acquired Addepto, a Poland-based artificial-intelligence and data-consulting company, to expand its AI and data-engineering capabilities.[14][13]
In May 2026, the company — which is backed by Sunstone Partners — appointed Jason Wojahn as chief executive officer, as it repositioned toward what it described as "AI-native" enterprise execution. Wojahn had previously co-founded and led the ServiceNow consultancy Thirdera, which was acquired by Cognizant in 2024, and had earlier held senior roles at Accenture, Cloud Sherpas and IBM Global Services.[15][16][17]
Operations
[edit]KMS Technology operates globally with its headquarters in Atlanta and major delivery centers in Vietnam, including Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, as well as in Mexico and Poland.[1][18] Its services span product engineering, software quality and testing, DevOps, data and analytics, and AI.[10] In 2024, its enterprise software-services line was reported to serve more than 130 clients, primarily in the United States and Canada.[18] According to the company, it employs around 1,300 people across five offices in the United States, Vietnam, Mexico, and Poland, and serves industries including automotive, financial services, healthcare and life sciences, insurance, logistics, and manufacturing.[19] As of 2026 its executive team included CEO Jason Wojahn, chief growth officer Choon Quek, chief financial officer Luis Pereira, chief technology officer Guy M. Merritt, and chief delivery officer Jeff Scott.[20]
Recognition
[edit]KMS Technology has received a number of industry and workplace awards. It appeared on Inc. magazine's Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the United States for several consecutive years, and has been recognised as a "Best and Brightest Company to Work For" in Atlanta and among HR Asia's Best Companies to Work for in Asia.[21][22] In Vietnam it has been named among the country's top software and IT-services companies in the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association's "Top 10 Digital Technology Companies" awards for several consecutive years, and its Vietnam operation has been certified as a Great Place To Work.[23][24] KMS Technology was ranked 45th on Fortune's 2025 list of the 100 best Companies to Work For in the Southeast Asia.[25]
Corporate social responsibility
[edit]KMS Technology runs community programmes in Vietnam focused on children's healthcare, technology education, and workplace diversity.[26] In partnership with the VinaCapital Foundation it has supported projects for paediatric cancer patients and neonatal-care capacity, and through initiatives such as its annual MoveIT charity run it has raised funds for technology students.[27][28][29] The company has also signed Vietnam's "Panel Pledge" in support of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and partners with universities on student programmes.[30][31]
