The 112th Tennessee General Assembly was the gathering of the Tennessee General Assembly, consisting of the Tennessee Senate and Tennessee House of Representatives, meeting between January 2021 and January 2023.
History
[edit]Members of the 112th General Assembly were chosen during Tennessee's 2020 House and Senate elections.
Lawmakers met for two regular sessions. The first regular session ran through May 5, 2021.[1] The second session ran through April 28, 2022.[2] Lawmakers also convened for three separate extraordinary sessions over the two-year term.[3]

[edit]- ↑ Mike Bell resigned from office on August 31, 2022, to take a job with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.[4] David Crews, appointed to the seat by the McMinn County Commission, was sworn in to finish the term on September 21, 2022.[5]
- ↑ Katrina Robinson was expelled from office on February 2, 2022, after being indicted on 48 embezzlement-related criminal charges.[6] London Lamar, appointed to the seat by the Shelby County Commission, was sworn into office on March 7, 2022.[7]
- ↑ Robin Smith resigned her seat on March 7, 2022, before pleading guilty to one charge of honest services fraud.[8] Greg Martin, appointed to the seat by the Hamilton County Commission, was sworn into office on April 4, 2022.[9]
- ↑ Mike Carter died on May 15, 2021.[10] His wife Joan was sworn into office on an interim basis by the Hamilton County Commission on June 15, 2021.[11] Greg Vital was later sworn in on October 12, 2021, after winning the special election to finish the term.[12]
