The Outreach Department of WikiProject Microsoft is a centralized workarea for project recruitment and member interaction efforts. The major programs currently active are a monthly project newsletter and a welcoming message for new members of the project; additional ideas are always welcome, of course!
The Newsletter is currently being revived, and is delivered at the end of each month. However, help is needed, so if any editor would like to help in the production, feel free to leave a message at WT:MICROSOFT so we can coordinate your assistance. Access it via Wikipedia:WikiProject Microsoft/Outreach/Newsletter.
If you got this Newsletter and don't know why, this would be due to your account being seen active as of January 2026, since you added yourself to the member's list in the past. All accounts with no activity before then were marked as inactive and mass notifications were disabled to them.
Once a user has joined our WikiProject please welcome them by using the template {{subst:Microsoftwel}}.
We need more members! Invite as many editors (who are working on Microsoft related articles) as you can! Use the above mentioned invitational template on the user talk pages of possible members!
There is now a new coordinator for this project, SuperJames888!
This WikiProject is now in the process of being revived. Please spread the word around about it!
Help is needed for the job of putting future Newsletters together. Interested persons need only start working on next month's issue to qualify. It really is that simple!
If you've just joined, add your name to the Participants section of WikiProject Microsoft. You'll get a mention in the next issue of the Newsletter and get it delivered as desired. Also, please include your own promotions and awards in future issues. Don't be shy!
Lastly, this is your newsletter and you can be involved in the creation of the next issue. Any and all contributions are welcome. Simply let yourself be known to any of the undersigned, or just start editing!
