This is a collection of discussions on the deletion and merging of articles related to Utah. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Utah|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Utah. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.

I can find virtually nothing on this person beyond a passing mention in the history of a park administrative building that "Harry Langley of the NPS Landscape Division designed and supervised the landscaping around the wall and residence soon thereafter." It appears that the places with which he is associated which are NRHP-listed hold this status because of their natural beauty, not the architectural additions to these locations, so the subject is basically a journeyman landscaper/architect building relatively minor structures for the National Park Service in locations that happen to be historic places. - delete there isn't much to be found in Gbooks, or Gsearch. Refs now in the article are from his employer or related websites, so would be Primary. I don't see enough to show notability. Oaktree b (talk) 16:34, 9 August 2026 (UTC)

- Redirect to Architects of the National Park Service#Zion National Park (with the history preserved under the redirect), where he is mentioned, per Wikipedia:Deletion policy#Alternatives to deletion. A redirect with the history preserved under the redirect will allow editors to selectively merge any content that can be reliably sourced to the target article. A redirect with the history preserved under the redirect will allow the redirect to be undone if significant coverage in reliable sources is found in the future. - Merge with Dinosaur National Monument
Why does the visitor center to the Dinosaur National Monument need a separate article? FunkMonk (talk) 16:21, 27 July 2026 (UTC)
- @FunkMonk I assume it's because it's designated as a National Historic Landmark, a designation granted only to a small number of sites on the National Register of Historic Places with exceptional significance (in the vein of, e.g., the Empire State Building or Fallingwater). The page is currently pretty short, so I would not be opposed to a merge per WP:NOPAGE, but the visitor center is notable for its architecture; see, for example, this. – Epicgenius (talk) 18:12, 28 July 2026 (UTC)
- That seems like it could be the reason, I wonder if it's reason enough for our purposes, though, as it's so tied with the National Monument. But perhaps more views will come forth. FunkMonk (talk) 18:14, 28 July 2026 (UTC)
- Comment I expanded it a god bit years ago. My feeling is that at should exist separately from the park's article, more on the basis that the park article should be expanded to be more comparable to other national park articles and focus on the park, rather than on one or two buildings in the park. There's a fair amount of duplication between the two articles, but I think merging would create or worsen a due weight problem for the parent article.Acroterion (talk) 01:11, 30 July 2026 (UTC)
