Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Dance

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a collection of discussions on the deletion and merging of articles related to Dance. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.

Adding a new AfD discussion
Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
  1. Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
  2. You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Dance|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
Removing a closed AfD discussion
Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
Other types of discussions
You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Dance. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.

I don't think this article is lacking of WP:GNG, WP:NBAND, and WP:SIGCOV, because the article was not expanded by the other users for many years ago should be redirected to the single. Octaviyanti Dwi Wahyurini (talk) 10:05, 13 August 2026 (UTC)reply

Keep per Wikipedia:Notability (music) - criteria#3 is at least one song nationally charting. Jishara (please ping upon response) (talk) 12:54, 13 August 2026 (UTC)reply
Keep per WP:NMUSIC, as two songs have charted. The article is outdated; don't delete it, improve it! Ighs (talk) 14:29, 13 August 2026 (UTC)reply

Fails WP:NSONG, no coverage at all, can be said it's WP:TOOSOON, there was no need for an standalone article. Naslmah (talk) 18:54, 13 August 2026 (UTC)reply

Redirect Delete: Possible to redirect to Age of the Exhibitionist with R with possibilities template until the song is officially released, and is possible to merge it into Age of the Exhibitionist to include the song in the article, but I doubt it's too soon for an article. ~ŤheŴubṂachine-840✒️ 20:15, 13 August 2026 (UTC)reply

There are only two citations in the current version of this BLP about a musician. One is not independent, and the only mention of her in the other is The video for the single featured fourth member/mascot Arial Tetsuo, an anime figure represented in concerts by dancer Rachel Stewart. I have carried out WP:BEFORE, and added one reference, but it is also not significant coverage of her. I think the best outcome is probably redirect to Fluke (band). The other band she was in, Beauty School (band), does not have an article.

If searching for coverage, note that, per the Talk page and the article's lead, she is Rachael. Tacyarg (talk) 13:16, 13 August 2026 (UTC)reply
