Varun Buddhadev is an Indian actor who primarily works in Hindi films and television.[1] He is known for portraying the young Alluri Sitarama Raju in RRR (2022) [2] and for his lead role in Toolsidas Junior (2022),[3] for which he received a Special Mention at the 68th National Film Awards.[4] He has also appeared in films including Samrat Prithviraj, Kadak Singh and Chhaava.[5]

[edit]In 2022, Buddhadev portrayed the young Alluri Sitarama Raju in S. S. Rajamouli's period action film RRR.[10]
The same year, he played the lead role of Toolsidas in Toolsidas Junior, directed by Mridul Mahendra and starring Sanjay Dutt and Rajiv Kapoor.[11]
The film received the National Film Award for Best Hindi Feature Film, while Buddhadev received a Special Mention at the 68th National Film Awards for his performance.[12]
Subsequent work (2023–present)
[edit]Following Toolsidas Junior, Buddhadev appeared in the crime thriller Kadak Singh (2023), directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury.[13]
He later appeared in the historical action film Chhaava (2025). In addition to films, he has also worked in television and web series.
