Usage

Place this template alongside the bolded name at the beginning of a biographical article. It will generate a footnote to specify which part of the name is the given name, helping readers refer to the person correctly. It requires the article to include {{notelist}}.

This template includes one mandatory parameter and several optional parameters:

  • |1=: required, the given name of the person
  • |2=: optional, the surname of the person
  • |3=: optional, the possessive determiner of the person. If left blank, it defaults to 'their'
  • |4=: optional, the country or origin of the name; links to related articles if available. If left blank, it defaults to 'article'
