{{GEOnet2}} generates an external link to a specific geographic feature name from the GEOnet Names Server (GNS), published by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). The template uses the name provided to search in the "full_name" field of the database. The URL links to a search results page that may have multiple matches.
Note: The old Name_GUID field is no longer valid. Thus, the first argument to the template is ignored. Editors are encouraged to click through, identify the correct item in the database, then use the "ufi" value and replace this template with {{GEOnet3}}.
