Template:Discussion message box/doc

Discussion message box is a message box template that can be placed on a project page when there is an active request for comment, Village Pump discussion, proposed merger, etc. concerning the page in order to publicize the discussion. The box should be removed upon the closing or archival of the discussion.

Parameters

RfCBox takes the following parameters:

• type or discussion type: What type of discussion is taking place. The default output is a discussion. You should include the indefinite article (some discussion venues start with vowels when written or spoken).
• name or page name: The name of the page the discussion is centering on. The default output is the current page. The output is in bold.
• topic or discussion topic: What the discussion is about. The default output is Insert your discussion topic here. The output is in green italics.
• link or discussion link: The link to the discussion. No default output. Already wikilinked, so no brackets are needed.
• date: The day, month, and year the discussion began. The default output is the current day, month, and year.
• image:The image at the left of the ombox. The default image is File:Ambox clock.svg, 40px.
