Let Zygons be Zygons

[edit]

I double-checked my copy of Attack of the Graske, and upon closer examination I'm not sure if it is a Zygon. It has Zygon-like suckers, but instead of having a row down the middle of its chest it's got two rows of suckers on two cords draping down from its shoulders. I suppose that barring confirmation that it was meant to be a Zygon we should leave it out. —Josiah Rowe (talkcontribs) 23:12, 29 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

"Print" clean up

[edit]

Could someone clean up/incorporate the "NB" notation that was inappropriately put in the "Print" section? The information may be relevant but the formatting is all wrong. I would myself but I'm unable to at the moment. Esprix (talk) 05:09, 20 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Never mind, I was able to do so after all. Esprix (talk) 19:49, 20 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Who invented the Zygons?

[edit]

Was it Robert Banks Stewart? Who designed the original costumes? Should be in the article.79.94.252.170 (talk) 17:13, 3 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Made a Few Edits

[edit]

I've added a small amount of production information in the lead section (I felt a whole section was unnecessary given how little information we have on the Zygon's development) as well as a Reception section and a few sources. There were more sources I could've potentially used, but as I'm rather new to making these kinds of edits, I didn't wish to accidentally clog the section. For the future, I'd suggest keeping an eye out for further production information, as well as adding any sources that seem fitting for the reception section. I'll review this, glad to see it back after checks notes you... sent it to AFD

Lead

[edit]
  • Infobox caption, "as it appears Terror of the Zygons" -> "as it appears in Terror of the Zygons "
  • "Steven Moffat, the showrunner of Doctor Who's 2005 revival" tweak the wording to clarify that Moffat for the specfic season and not the whole revival
  • "the Muslim population and refugees in Britain", change the target from "Muslims" to "Islam in the United Kingdom" or something similar
  • I think the Wasp is too trivial for the lead

Appearances

[edit]
  • "Zygons briefly appear off-screen in the 2012 episode, "The Power of Three", where the Eleventh Doctor (Matt Smith) ends up fighting a Zygon invasion at the Savoy Hotel" this may need a rewrite for clarity, also "appear off screen" is a bit of an oxymoron
  • "group's leader, Bonnie (Jenna Coleman)" clarify that Bonnie was appearing as Clara Oswald
  • "[spin-off novel] [The Bodysnatchers]" is a MOS:SOB violation
  • Name the EDAs in reference to The Bodysnatchers for clarity, otherwise it may be confusing as to if The Bodysnatchers was part of the NSA
  • "New Series Adventures" should be in italics
  • Link New Series Adventures and not New Series Adventures (Doctor Who) per MOS:NOTBROKEN
  • "BBV Productions" is linked twice in the last paragraph

Development

[edit]
  • "The Zygons were initially planned to be able to "sting" their victims, akin to jellyfish, but this concept was not elaborated on in the episode and hard to notice in the final story." It seems like initially planned is the wrong wording as the text indicates that they did do it but not prominently
  • I think paragraph 2 could use a rewrite for clarity as it seemingly jumps between talking about the Zygon two parter and the Day of the Doctor
  • "Looking at situations in the Middle East in the real world" anything more specific?
  • Was the plan for them to sting in the two parter connected to the original plan or was it a coincidence?

Reception

[edit]
  • Can you clarify the Muir and Braxton Terror reviews were in the 2010s and not contemporary?
  • It's called "Slate" not "Slate Magazine", also link Slate (magazine)

References

[edit]
  • A few of the refs have MOS:DASH errors
  • Refs 3 and 37 are duplicates
  • Refs 29 and 31 are duplicates, also the formatting is messed up
  • Ref 25 is missing page numbers
  • While not part of the GA criteria, several citations are missing dates and authors
  • While not part of the GA criteria, could you make the linking of the source more consistent?

@Olliefant: Hit up the above, let me know what else needs to be done. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 02:53, 19 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
