[edit]The article currently says the bay was named "Wager Bay" in 1742. HMS Wager (1739) was wrecked in the far south coast of what is now Chile in 1741. It seems likely the Bay is named after the wreck. We should keep our eyes peeled for an WP:RS that says so. Geo Swan (talk) 23:09, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
Elevation?
[edit]The article says that Wager Bay is 51 metres above sea level. If it is connected to Hudson Bay by a channel and not by a river, it should be at the same elevation as Hudson Bay, that is, sea level. To be 51 metres higher, there would have to be a steeply inclined river or a river with a cataract, which would make it non-navigable to reach the bay. GBC (talk) 02:28, 26 July 2026 (UTC)
