Independent Research?

[edit]

This article and Sianna contain material from [1]. I updated the citation for Vesunna, but I am skeptical that this source is a good one. It is published by a self-identified "Independent Researcher" and as far as I can tell, is not in a peer-reviewed journal. Also, I was not impressed by its quality or the references it cites. One of the references cited by the author is the online compendium theoi.com, which is not something a peer-reviewed journal article is likely to cite. I would like someone better versed in Celtic or Classical epigraphy to give this a look, please. ~2026-16672-20 (talk) 23:36, 19 May 2026 (UTC) ~2026-16672-20 (talk) 23:36, 19 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

This is original research, self-published non-academic research about an academic subject, and also self-promotion since Dgeorgieff added them. All 3 are against Wikipedia rules, and these claims have no peer-reviewed support anywhere, so the claims and unreliable citations are being removed. Do not add them back. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard/Archive_517?useskin=vector for the discussion. ~2026-16672-20 (talk) 20:51, 27 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
