Reformatting article to include recent seasons of results?

The present format of this article includes only one season of results, and includes significant detail on them. If we were to update the article to include the past near-decade of results it would become an extraordinarily long and hard-to-read database. Would it make more sense to just include the Final Standings (or even champions?) for each year in a table? Otherwise I see the only real possibility as splitting the article into a separate pages for each season, as is done in some other sports.

Personally I support simplifying the article by reducing results to Final Standings, though this does sacrifice some historical information.
