This page was obviously translated from Italian. I started trying to copyedit, but made it only half-way through the "history" paragraph before giving up. Someone else please try! I've changed Franco's name to what I think is the correct Italian spelling, and also removed the fact that he played for AC Milan. As far as I can see from the internet, he just played for Varese and Torino - unless anyone knows any better? Nick Watts 11:48, 28 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

I did some copyediting and fixed most of the grammar. I'm not sure what to do about the remarks about "problems with supporters" "treating black players badly". Seems quite euphemistic to me, but i don't want to change it to anything more specific without references. Probably not really encyclopedic in tone, but seems to deserve a mention. Image:Varese FC.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. SSD Varese Calcio → Varese FC – As of 2025, the phoenix club ASD Città di Varese changed its name to Varese FC, reflected by this page move. However, the club is effectively a continuation of SSD Varese Calcio (as seen in the Italian Wikipedia page being one). Thus, I manually merged the content of Varese FC into SSD Varese Calcio, but am unable to change SSD Varese to Varese FC. Nehme1499 (talk) 21:58, 2 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
