  - Currently a difficult task due to the lack of consensus in the greater community over an accurate chronology, but definitely something to keep coming back to
  - In the meanwhile: it’s a good policy to have a survey of dates from sources in articles about time periods; for smaller mentions (ex. at the start of “Atenism under Akhenaten” here: “Amenhotep IV, the son of Amenhotep III, was crowned king c. 1353 BC.”) circa is your best friend
- Discussion
  - Creating a separate article for Predynastic Egypt from Prehistoric Egypt starting with the Badarian culture where many overviews begin
- Data sorting
  - Looking through sources for quotes and data that can be added to relevant articles

Vandalism

This article has been subject to a large spate of vandalism. For example, on 5 November 2008, IP editor 98.229.245.167 added the sentence Upper Egypt is on the Western side of the Nile River, which runs over 4,000 miles long., the first part of which is patently false, and the second part of which is rather irrelevant to the article. Yet, this sentence remained in the article for over six months. On 1 March 2009 Petrus tried to fix the vandalism of 67.185.179.113from 27 February, but left an incoherent sentence as a result. Map

The map is clearly a map of both Lower and Uoper Egypt. An untrained eye could be forgiven for thinking that it is just Lower Egypt as the sea is clearly visible at to top. Many of the locations mentioned in §Geography (eg El-Ayait) are not marked on the map, hence it is impossible to identify where is and is not Upper Egypt. 2.96.206.70 (talk) 17:05, 20 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
