Talk:Trams in Germany

While Doco has rightly or wrongly followed the suggestion of moving it to trams in Germany I thnik this is still not right and I'll move it to trams in Europe becuase Germany is a major member of the European Union, many tramways have survived elsewhere in Europa and some are being resistated, particularly in France.Myrtone (the strict Australian wikipedian)

Myrtone, there has been a consensus at Talk:Articulated tram about this. The parts moved from there are far more than sufficient to justify an article of its own, and just because you don't think it "deserves" an article of its own does not give you reason to mindlessly shuffle things around. Given your previous edits and track record, I'm beginning to assume malice instead of stupidity from your part. I just wondered why the city with the second largest net of tramways wasn´t in the list of towns with trams. So i added Leipzig and propose to add more informations about the Leipzig tram service, because of its long tradition (horsepowered trams since 1872)its regional importance (with about 123 million passangers per year) and the curiosity of a tramtype developed and build by the tram service providing company( which maybe also fits into the Kurzgelenkwagen passage)

Merger proposal

Proposed merge of GT4 (tram) into Trams_in_Germany#Kurzgelenkwagen. GT4 (tram) is currently a short unsourced stub article not edited since about 6 years. Its 3 sentences of content describe the concept of German articulated trams with four axles, also described in the proposed merge target Trams_in_Germany#Kurzgelenkwagen. Merging both articles will not cause any problems regarding article size. I first thought about WP:BOLD-redirecting it, but before someone reverts, lets have a discussion first. (On a side note: the interwiki link on "GT4 (tram)" to dewiki also points to the "Kurzgelenkwagen" subsection of a broader-topic article). Regards, Nyamo Kurosawa (talk) 20:44, 8 June 2020 (UTC)

In the absence of any "Articulated tram" article on en.wiki (which would be the equivalent of the broader-topic de.wiki article to which Nyamo refers), this proposal seems reasonable to me. Bahnfrend (talk) 03:41, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

List of tramways
