Spelling of 'Tngri'

Why is this page titled 'Tngri' rather than 'Tenger'? I suppose the spelling of 'Tngri' comes from the traditional spelling of 'ᠲᠩᠷᠢ' but even that would have been pronounced 'Tengri' or 'Tengeri'. In modern Mongol languages the spelling and pronunciation has shifted to 'Tenger' 'тэнгэр'. I find it odd for this page about modern culture is spelled with a blunt transcription of archaic orthography like it was millennium ago rather than common modern language.
