Murderer category for wrongfully convicted living person?

Sorry, I don't expect to reach a consensus with people who blindly follow sources to call someone a murderer, without taking a second look to how this person was convicted for a crime they likely have not committed. With the same sort of reasoning, Christina Boyer's parole may have never been taken seriously. We don't know, as there is no obligation to cite a reason for refusing parole. The deeper you dive into the case however, the more it smells like another example of injustice, delivered by the American justice system, that has often screwed over suspects who could not afford to pay for a lawyer that would ensure their right to a fair trial. I insist we should remove the murder category for Christina Boyer. Anything sensitive needs to be well supported, right? That is exactly the problem in this case: proof against Christina Boyer that she would have killed her daughter (not her abusive boyfriend who was babysitting) is as thin as a pancake! Besides, we should stop calling her Tina Resch, after her abusive adoptive parents. User:Driftingdrifting wanted to take this to the talk page? The article is not calling Resch a murderer. It says she was charged, took a plea deal, and was imprisoned. Wikipedia can only summarize what WP:RS say. As for changing the name, see WP:COMMONNAME. From a casual read, it seems Tina Resch is still the most common name used by reliable sources for the subject. WP:CONSENSUS among editors determines if there is a good reason to change the title, and WP:PAGEMOVE would be the correct process. As for the very recent magazine stories and podcasts, I see they are already being given appropriate WP:WEIGHT in the article. Please note they cannot take precedence over the existing content. The encyclopedia (and its editors) cannot engage in WP:ADVOCACY for a subject, so you should also read WP:RIGHTGREATWRONGS. - LuckyLouie (talk) 11:09, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
