  • ... that after her father's death, Thora Thersner completed his work documenting Swedish buildings and landscapes in topographical volumes?
  • Source: "When her father died, she was only ten years old. She continued however in her father’s footsteps and completed his work on comprehensive volumes of topographical illustrations of Swedish landscapes and buildings past and present,"
    • ALT1: ... that Thora Thersner created 364 illustrations for 91 volumes of Fordna och närvarande Sverige? Source: "At her death in 1867, the work comprised 91 volumes containing 364 illustrations"

Overall: @Spiderpig662: Interesting article. I have some concerns about the women's biography source, since it cites the Swedish Wikipedia article as a source. I can't tell if that was retroactively added (since it is also cited in the Swedish Wikipedia article), or what exactly is happening, but I'm not sure its reliable. I don't find the hook suggestions particularly interesting. I would suggest ALT2: ... that after her father's death, Thora Thersner assumed his work of drawing landscapes, despite having no experience drawing landscapes (example pictured)? An image of a landscape she drew could probably be added to make it an image hook. 1brianm7 (talk) 14:37, 28 October 2025 (UTC) I clarified my final sentence1brianm7 (talk) 15:03, 28 October 2025 (UTC) and I improved my hook suggestion's grammar. 1brianm7 (talk) 15:27, 28 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

@1brianm7: The SKBL sourcing situation with the Swedish Wikipedia is quite confusing. As it is run by the University of Gothenburg and written by archivists and librarians, I do tend to trust it; however, I have found a separate source for ALT2: "Då föreslogöfverintendenten att den unga dottern i huset skullefortsätta utgifvandet. Hon hade utmärkt sig ifigurteckning, men icke försökt sig i teckning aflandskap." I added one of her landscapes per your suggestion as well. Spiderpig662 (talk) 00:49, 29 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Spiderpig662: Ok, I think I'm fine with it now, knowing who runs it and with the additional source. Requesting a reviewer to look over ALT2. 1brianm7 (talk) 01:52, 29 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
  • Found another source for ALT0 in Dagens Nyheter archives (her obit on 1867-10-08, p. 2) - although it says 89 not 91 volumes. I definitely prefer ALT0 over ALT2- more interesting + SKBL says she just didn't have a lot of experience with landscapes. Given her private drawing lessons, I feel like it's reasonable to assume she would have drawn a landscape of some sort at some point.

Overall: Great work- I approve ALT0 (w/o image). No problems with the article and interesting, well-sourced hook. I think the (beautiful) image may be hard to appreciate at 100px - as it's a fine-lined topographical drawing - and doesn't add a lot to the hook because of that.
