Town house rented by Jefferson
[edit]Leiper was not merely the general contractor of the pair of townhouses in Philadelphia, but the owner, and T. Jefferson was his tenant. The 1784-1794 Architectural Surveys published by the Mutual Assurance Company in 1976 shows policies 236 and 237 issued to TL on 1/17/1791 and detailing the structures. The policies were renewed to TL in various forms, becoming perpetual in November, 1807. TL is my great(5) grandfather and I grew up in Media, PA, just a few miles from his home and mills in Avondale, visiting many times as a child. InterpreDemon (talk) 02:52, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
