Susan is notable per WP:NACADEMIC via:

criterion 1, because her "research has had a significant impact in their scholarly discipline, broadly construed"; and
criterion 5, because she "has held a distinguished professor appointment at a major institution of higher education".

The Hendricks are influential in relationship research via their creation of the Love Attitudes Scale, and subsequent love attitudes research. There are many academic papers (reliable sources) on love attitudes research. Horn Professor is TTU's highest honor, and "publications of the appointing institution are considered a reliable source".

There are very few internet (news) articles discussing the Hendricks, but this is not required by WP:NACADEMIC. "Many ... academics ... are notably influential in the world of ideas without their biographies being the subject of secondary sources". ShiveryPeaks (talk) 07:00, 20 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
