[edit]This section needs to be removed as it is irrelevant - not current, speculative (and at the same time not connected to the article) and not referenced. If every article on a village/town/city had a list of borderline celebrities who had once lived there, imagine how tedious things could become. I'll remove it unless someone has a compelling reason not to. JohnB57 (talk) 00:12, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
Reference to Cumberland is incorrect
[edit]The article names Cumberland as part of the parish and includes a link to that county. Including a distant county as part of the parish is clearly absurd. I think Cumberworth was meant. Cumberworth is a township between Denby Dale, Emley, Shepley & Shelley. The 1st Ed OS 6inch map shows that it included detached portions of several parishes including Silkstone. I suggest someone with editing rights verifies this for themselves & updates the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.115.131.165 (talk) 11:23, 5 August 2014 (UTC)
A quick check shows that Wikipedia has a Lincs entry for Cumberworth (sic) but the Yorks Cumberworth is split into Upper & Lower Cumberworth which is historically naive. Maybe better to combine the entries & add a comment that on modern maps it is divided in this way. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.115.131.165 (talk) 11:34, 5 August 2014 (UTC)
