Shalom Sharabi

Head of a major division deserves mentioning, especially bearing in mind that the article poorly covers the activities of Shin Bet (I guess secretive ) --Altenmann >talk 06:00, 17 July 2025 (UTC)

Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. But the current article for Shalom Sharabi is two sentences long, with a single source (most of which is primary material from an interview), does not clearly satisfy the GNG and outright fails the person-specific notability guideline, and was until minutes ago tagged with an "in use" maintenance tag indicating it's still being written. It's wildly premature to add to the "See also" section when at present, it would not survive a deletion discussion. I'd suggest writing the article you want to link first, and getting it up to standard, THEN try to insert it into other articles. Per WP:SEE ALSO Links in this section should be relevant and limited to a reasonable number. Whether a link belongs in the "See also" section is ultimately a matter of editorial judgment and common sense. An article with essentially no content is not "relevant" nor does it satisfy common sense; good editorial judgment would weigh against including it in its present state -- which does not even contain a disambiguation link to distinguish it from the MUCH more widely known Shalom Sharabi (the rabbi). ⇒SWATJester ^{Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat!} 06:14, 17 July 2025 (UTC)

So half of it is primary material; and the rest of it is largely not included in the article. Worse, this edit is wholly unsupported by the given source, which makes no statement about "Jewish terrorism" nor specifies anything about far-right extremism. I'm happy to show my work -- you can show yours. The phrase "Jewish terrorism" appears nowhere in the article through an English translation. There are exactly four instances of the word terrorism, all in the same paragraph, all referring to Hamas. The organization must completely renounce terrorism, a complete renunciation. It must recognize the legitimacy of Israel, including necessary changes to several articles of the Hamas charter. But as long as Hamas leads terrorism, leads terrorism and carries out terrorism and does not recognize Israel, why should we talk to it? Nor does the phrase "Far-right extremism" appear anywhere in the article, nor do those words appear individually (Found it -- it says Today, the department's main activity is focused on gathering information about the intentions of right-wing extremists to harm symbols of the Israeli government or carry out attacks against Palestinians, which is not quite the same thing but at least is close enough for the extremism half.) In fact, the only mention of the word "Jewish" in the entire article is the usage of "Jewish Division" in the following sentence: ...started as a security guard and ended up as head of the Counterintelligence and Subversion Prevention Division, better known as the "Jewish Division," one of the most senior positions in the service. It then goes on to talk about the Arab division, with no further discussion about the Jewish Division. Very curious also as to why, on this (the Shin Bet) article, you changed "Hamas terrorism" to "Jewish terrorism" in an unsourced sentence without adding a source for that claim here as well. To be clear you have *not* achieved the necessary consensus for inclusion per WP:ONUS (The responsibility for achieving consensus for inclusion is on those seeking to include disputed content.), and you have not addressed the core issue here that the article you're trying to link provides essentially no useful information to the reader.
