The term shashti means 60 , the term abda means years and poorthi means completion. That is to say,shashtiabdapoorthi is on the date one completes 60 and not on the birthstar. Shashtipoorthi may me conducted on the basis of Aattapirannal. The term ABDA is meaningful.
