There is a full length article on the subject in 2025 from CNN . There is clearly SIGCOV, if we follow BIO1E, there should be at minimum a section regarding the episode on the SNL page. Peacock

the network section needs to include peacock as 2019-present. The company advertises it airing on both platforms in all promo. Shows like last week tonight list network and streaming. Pages for NBA games TV list both nbc and peacock. Please break away from outdated mindset that broadcast is primary. ~2026-12979-63 (talk) 00:06, 21 May 2026 (UTC)

This is exactly like how ABC advertises their shows- on ABC and Hulu. ABC is still the main network for their shows, unless the premiere(s) occur on Hulu as well. Go look at other NBC shows- all the One Chicago shows, The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, and however many other shows: their promos also say, "on NBC and Peacock", but NBC is still the main network as that is where the premieres actually occur. The 'Watch Live TV' option on streaming services does not equate to that being where episodes premiere. Also see the listings for SNL on The Futon Critic- only Peacock premiere for SNL was "SNL50: The Homecoming Concert". Magitroopa (talk) 23:10, 22 May 2026 (UTC)

Should also be mentioned that the source in the article attached to the claim stating, "the show has been simultaneously broadcast live on Peacock" literally states: "All episodes of “SNL” air weekly on NBC. “SNL” also streams live on NBC’s streaming service, Peacock TV, with a cable subscription, meaning you’ll have to log in with your cable provider."

As I've previously mentioned, the 'Live TV' option on streaming services does not equate in any way to it being the original network or streaming service. You are essentially claiming here that all ABC shows must list Hulu, all CBS shows must list Paramount+, all NBC shows must list Peacock, etc. Magitroopa (talk) 00:35, 23 May 2026 (UTC)

I don't know Wikipedia well and have other priorities so I am not ignoring. However you are incorrect. The low quality Wrap article is incorrect, you do not need to log in with your cable provider. I'm pretty sure you are aware of this and are finding the one article with incorrect information. This situation with SNL is similar to how American idol is shown on Disney Plus and as you see in the information for the recent American idol season, as well as what you can see for dancing with the, there is no affiliation with the affiliates. The stream that you watch is a stream directly from the streaming provider and it is not a broadcast of your local affiliate. The Hulu analogy above does not hold up as those are for next day on demand airings. This is similar to how NBA games are shown on both peacock and NBC and it is similar to how dancing with the Stars is shown on Disney+ and ABC.
