From a post on Facebook by the guy who too the photo: - https://www.facebook.com/groups/1177924209731925/posts/1713333056191035/, "I'm beyond tired of hearing about it! I posted a pic a while back with a salmon on the head of an Orca as he was foraging, someone made a joke about an Orca hat and since then it's gone wild! I've had people, papers, bloggers using my photo without asking and others contacting me to use it. It wasn't wearing a freaking hat! I just happened to catch the moment that it was on its head. Aside from the 2024 year, there are documented cases in 1987 and 2014 both. Though the one photo from 2024 can be questioned, the previous years are still documented. ~2026-37206-8 (talk) 21:33, 17 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
