Minority ownership of Primary Events Solutions - should the detail be included?

The 2025 BBC article referenced in this article mentions that Lord has minority ownership of Primary Events Solutions. While true, in the context of the section on his resignation from the Night Time Economy Adviser role, it is misleading. It reads as if he has only a small interest in the company. In fact, according to Companies House (gov.uk), the company had two equal owners when established. Later they added a third equal partner, so the 1/3 of the company was held by each.

Should that comment be included in the Resignation subsection of the page?

Further review of Primary Events

Evening Standard piece says "multiple independent professional advisers – including government-appointed reviewers – confirmed that there was a lack of evidence of wrongdoing". This should be added, either to the Primary Events Solutions or to the Resignation section. Piece also provides additional context for the dispute which may or may not be relevant to sub, but probably warrants some kind of reference as is in public domain. ~2026-10766-19 (talk) 08:56, 18 February 2026 (UTC)

The Evening Standard piece contains Lord’s own characterisation of the review process, including his statement that multiple independent professional advisers including government appointed reviewers (who and where?) confirmed that there was a lack of evidence of wrongdoing. However, Arts Council England’s published position was that the grant application breached the terms and conditions by supplying information that was “wrong or misleading”, and that it was not required to determine intent.

If included, the Standard article should therefore be presented as Lord’s account rather than as an independent finding, and balanced with the Arts Council’s stated conclusion. The current text summarises his position, but any addition should avoid implying that an official body formally cleared the company of breach.

I have also revised the section to add further context and citations from Arts Council England’s published statements and from independent reporting. The intention was to ensure the article reflects both Lord’s account and the Arts Council’s formal findings, with clear attribution throughout and improved sourcing in line with WP BLP and WP V. New roles and political positions

In January, Lord became a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality

In February 2026, Lord was appointed to the Advisory Board of the International Nightlife Association.

Lord playing a more active political role - on 13 Feb he branded Keir Starmer "toxic" and said he would not donate to Labour anymore while Starmer remained its leader.
