Maine's Yellow Flag Law on the map

[edit]

Maine's risk-based firearm seizure law is much more restrictive than other states in that it requires an evaluation by a medical professional recommending that firearms be seized, therefore it's widely referred to as a "Yellow Flag Law" instead of red. This is explained in the Usage section but it may be worthwhile to mark it differently on the map? Elijahr241 (talk) 00:19, 21 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

This should be corrected on the map. Gun control groups like Everytown for Gun Safety and Giffords don't consider Maine as having a red flag law, but neither do Johns Hopkins or the National Sheriffs Association. WellReadCactus (talk) 00:58, 21 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
