Ray Stephens, Great Defensive Catcher

Though Ray was not a highly successful hitter, his defensive and leadership qualities made him a valuable player. Ray had a great work ethic and was able to get the most out of pitching staffs he caught. His left hand was so soft, that regardless of how hard a pitch was thrown, the only sound that emitted from his glove was a "poof." ~2026-35418-35 (talk) 01:56, 17 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
