editing wiki page of raffles medical group

[edit]

Hi i'm an temp at Raffles Medical Group and one of my tasks is to update the page to latest info. as you can see from the page, it is rather outdated with information from many years ago. Cranberrymagic88 (talk) 09:39, 21 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

I agree this article was outdated; I have used the updated figures you added, but have also removed a lot of "cruft" which has built up over the years. The history section ended some years ago and I added something recent but I didn't do a thorough search for sources. There was a long list of clinical services which served little encyclopedic purpose and I removed it in favor of a shorter description of its services.
The issue of your conflict of interest, in my opinion and based on my understanding of policy, boils down as follows: you are working for Raffles and are being asked to edit wikipedia, therefore you are considered a paid editor. You may not directly edit the article. Instead you can propose changes on this talk page which can be assessed and adopted by editors without a COI.
In particular, the article relies on a number of different "about us"-type articles and it would be helpful if you could help find a good, reliable, recent summary of the company's activities. Oblivy (talk) 23:56, 21 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hi Thanks for the advice, it is very helpful. I would like to update the following based on this article:
https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/health/raffles-hospital-to-add-more-beds-with-opening-of-new-specialist-centre
  1. In 2019, Raffles Medical Group opened a 22-storey specialist centre.
  2. Ward 13 is for patients under the Ministry of Health's Emergency Care Collaboration scheme. Singapore Civil Defence Force ambulances have been sending patients who need emergency care to Raffles Hospital for subsidised treatments since 2015.

@Cranberrymagic88, you can request for help via the Wikipedia:Edit Request Wizard. Plainly requesting here will not get any help as there might not be any page watchers for this page and requesting via the request wizard will attract other volunteers to help you with your requests. Thanks! ~ JASWE (talk) 08:24, 15 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
