This page was created as part of a Wikipedia editathon held at Sydney University, where I edited and created over 10 pages. I have not met the person in the wikipedia page, but after having written 60 pages or so (see my User Page) it would make sense that by co-incidence someone in the same field overlaps. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:DrPlantGenomics.

Lead section wording: relevance of birthplace and ethnicity

I have updated the lead to describe Kaur as “a biotechnologist and Australian politician,” removing “Indian-born” as it is not central to her current public identity. Her place of birth (Punjab, India) is already detailed in the body of the article, and per Wikipedia guidelines on neutrality and relevance, the lead should reflect her primary notability as a scientist and politician in Australia.
