- [Not a full DYK review] the article has many valid cleanup banners that are blocking its appearance on DYK. But also, to meet the DYK requirement for being interesting, we need a hook with some real-world relevance, and avoidance of jargon. The Birch–Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture cannot be expected to be known by most readers, especially disguised by an acronym, the word "interesting" is an editorialization that needs a published source, and unless there is some reasonable expectation for this connection to be strong enough to be central in a $1M payout from the millenium prizes there is little real-world relevance. —David Eppstein (talk) 23:32, 28 July 2026 (UTC)
