Description of suggested change: This is a request to correct a grammatical error within the text to increase the polish and quality of the overall article. Seems strange to me why "they" here, which is clearly used in a pluralistic way as per "terrorists," is used as a singular pronoun as per "freedom fighter." It is also not grammatically correct for a singular, countable, non-proper noun to not be preceded by a definite/indefinite article.

Description of suggested change: The term “treading ground” in this sentence does not read well, and is not idiomatic English as far as I am aware: “It was treading ground for the Nile and Mesopotamian armies and merchants from North Africa, China and India.”

As best I can tell, it is being used to mean something like “an area that was regularly visited”. Perhaps a “crossroads” or something like that?

Hopefully not too controversial!

I have flagged this for AI, specifically regarding the 2024 edits by Kharbaan Ghaltaan, of which there are too many to count here, but which contain many hallmarks of LLM-generated text from early to mid 2024 covered in WP:AISIGNS. (This is also the case of their other edits since 2024 or so.) Note that although this is a contentious topic, this does not have anything to do with the subject matter; it's the same AI slop phrasing that has proliferated across Wikipedia on every subject imaginable (and is also not allowed per WP:NOLLM).

Just a few excerpts (note: this is not the full list of things that need to be fixed, they are just examples, I could pick a dozen more):

• The iconic Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem underwent restoration and renovation in the Ottoman era, showcasing a blend of Islamic and Byzantine architectural elements. - superficial analyses (WP:SUPERFICIAL), 2024 AI vocabulary (WP:AIVOCAB), promotionality (WP:AIPUFFERY)
• Palestine features significant lakes and rivers that play a vital role in its geography and ecosystems.: undue emphasis on significance (WP:AILEGACY, WP:AIPUFFERY), is/are avoidance ("features" rather than "contains", "has", etc)
• Banna have contributed to the contemporary pop scene with their unique styles and powerful voices. Their songs address both personal and political themes, resonating with Palestinians and audiences worldwide.: WP:AILEGACY, WP:AIPUFFERY
• etc. Also note the dramatic difference in this user's writing style between their sandbox and these edits (note: again, this is not a comment on the subject matter, just the writing style). Also note that they have unambiguously used ChatGPT for at least some purposes, and had a page (User:Kharbaan Ghaltaan/Baghdad) speedied for ChatGPT usage.
