Removed duplicated mention of gloves under the "Milling" section. Also, can anyone confirm that the candidates have points deducted for blocking and dodging? For one who has had nothing to do with any of this... it doesn't make obvious sense. Of course the article needs citations anyway... Leushenko (talk) 00:42, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

10 miler

Women section and parachute waiver
[edit]CosTheVampire, you've been repeatedly told that you need to provide sources that support your edits if you're going to be blanking reliably sourced content. You have repeatedly failed to do so. So here's your chance -- I've provided the sourcing that indicates that the RAPTC and other courses qualify as "arduous training." Now it's your turn to provide a source that supports your claim that they "do not qualify for jumps." I don't think you can, because you've already openly admitted that you have no such source and that none exists. - I've not made any edits as I'm keen to avoid a back and forth edit/reversion argument over what constitutes "arduous". What the army considers arduous and what the parachute regiment consider as an acceptable equivalent are two different things.
- The Parachute Regiment will waive P Coy for those who've passed SF selection. Everything else is on a case by case basis. Those who've passed the Commando course or pathfinder selection will almost always be allowed to join the Para Regt without passing P Coy. It is extremely unlikely that any other course would be considered.
- The Ranger course or RAPTC selection would definitely not count. Andythegonk (talk) 15:36, 6 July 2026 (UTC)
