Change ".. it was given to Egypt and populated by Egyptians and continues to be to this day." to ".. it was given to Egypt and populated by Egyptians before the buildings were finally torn down."
Proof: Google Maps shows all buildings are torn down. Also Google StreetView shows only some foundations left. Link to Google Maps: https://www.google.com/maps/@27.8511818,34.2878554,525m/data=!3m1!1e3 ~2026-11235-92 (talk) 17:49, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
Not done: Google street view is not a reliable source for this claim. It must be something published by an independent, reliable source. {{GearsDatapack|talk|contribs}} 20:58, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
- Since it is about only few former concrete buildings, there will likely never be a newspaper article about it from a high-quality source as requested. However, it is clearly visible on satellite services such as Google Maps (satellite view) and Apple maps. In addition, plenty of people uploaded pictures of the erased area, as the buildings were located next right to the cruise harbor and as such plenty of image material is available.
- Example pictures (there is many more pictures):
