The ending to the third sentence in the opening paragraph "....which by the time of his death had given at least A$20 million to arts organisations" is factually incorrect.

Suggestion for a factually correct end to the sentence would be "....by the time of his death had given more than A$40 million over it's fifteen year history^[1] to not-for profit organisations."

Please be patient with me if this is the incorrect way to request an edit, I am trying to understand how to work within the wikipedia framework to update some factually incorrect statements on this page. Thank you. Melonorange99 (talk) 02:22, 6 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi Melonorange99, and thanks for your request. If I remember rightly, I used the more conservative number in the lead because the Limelight article says "more than $20 million", while the ABC article puts the figure at $40 million, which I added in a footnote. However, we can take the ABC as factually correct, so I have removed the references to a lower figure - although it would be nice to have another corroboration if there is another source stating this figure.
