I am the subject of this article and acknowledge I have a conflict of interest. I did not request the article's creation, but when I discovered it contained factual errors and arbitrary information, I edited it without understanding Wikipedia's COI policies. I now realize this was inappropriate. Given the sourcing and notability concerns that have been flagged, I believe a basic stub format would be more appropriate than the current article structure. I would also be fine with deletion if that's what editors determine is most appropriate.
For editors' reference, here are some sources that have covered my work:
I request that uninvolved editors consider these sources and determine what, if anything, should be included in an appropriately formatted stub, or whether the article should be deleted. My current title at Jacobin is Senior Editor, not Staff Writer. Thank you. Meagankday (talk) 17:24, 29 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hi, @Meagankday. I saw your message on the WikiProject Journalism talk page. This is the best way you possibly could have gone about this, and I'm pleased to inform you I don't believe there will be any need for a deletion discussion as it seems you pass notability as an author, if nothing else... And I would expect your 2020 book won't be your last. I imagine more could be added to the article yet, and I might pick away at it more over time, but the important parts are there and I think I've assembled all of the good sources in one spot. If you'd like to see any changes made going forward, you can make use of edit requests for this. For very simple corrections: I.e., typos and grammar, the date says 17th but it was actually the 18th, you can make those changes yourself. Worst thing that'll happen is someone might revert you and then you can talk about it. If you'd like to submit a picture for the article, there's relevant guidance located at WP:PICYOU. Thank you so much, @MediaKyle! I really appreciate you taking the time to help with this and for the guidance on how to handle things going forward. This is exactly what I was hoping for. I'm grateful for your patience with someone who clearly had no idea how Wikipedia works.
