Service history

Considering how the maxim gun sees current use by the Ukrainian Ground Forces in the Donbas war^[1], should the service history be updated from 1959 to present to account for this?

Even further, I've seen pictures of a Maxim gun mounted on a small trailer in use by Russian forces. I would update the article to display its use in the Russo-Ukrainian War as a whole. 75.110.152.26 (talk) 01:19, 23 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

American Maxim gun pics

The book A Philippine Album: American Era Photographs, 1900-1930. by Jonathan Best has nice photographs of the Maxim gun being used in the Philippine Islands.

The video is continuous. There's no useful information so it's easiest to remove it. Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Accessibility#Animations says: "To be accessible, an animation (GIF – Graphics Interchange Format) should either: Not exceed a duration of five seconds (which results in making it a purely decorative element)[12] or Be equipped with control functions (stop, pause, play)[13]" Humpster (talk) 03:05, 17 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
