Awesome footballer Fowler wears iconic black gloves, apparently to help her with fidgeting. Numerous news articles refer to this, see below, just not sure if how to fit it in the article.

Support, apprehensively. I'm weary of long-term significance as I'm not seeing any clear frontrunner for that but am too cautious to simply dismiss it as a non-issue. There are indeed three women listed upon the Mary Fowler disambiguation page with insufficient evidence that the 22-year-old soccer player's renown is at such a level that it overwhelms the combined notability of the remaining two women. As for her achievements, she's regarded as one of the best young players in the world with the Matildas, has finished fourth at the Olympics and the World Cup, currently plays for one of the top clubs in English WSL and has walked on the red carpet in Paris. Mary Fowler (soccer) → Mary Fowler – Reopening this to rediscuss and seek consensus. I think it's pretty clear that she's the most famous person with the name Mary Fowler. Google search results give only her. The other individuals are a geophysicist with far less information about her online, and a painter/sculptor who's already distinguished as Mary Blackford Fowler. I think there is clearly sufficient evidence that one Mary Fowler is far more well-known than the other. As for what's changed since October 2025, she's now won the double (the WSL and the FA Cup) with Man City and finished runners-up in the Asian Cup with the Matildas (as one of our best players), and will be at the next World Cup. Google Analytics suggest interest piqued in August 2023 (coinciding with interest in soccer player Fowler during/following the 2023 WWC). Over 50% of top queries (2004–present) by those who also Googled ‘‘Mary Fowler’’ were direct references to the soccer player.
