Was he Kiyad Borjigon? Many historians wrote that he was not Chingisid, however, H.Howorth and Russian sources claimed he was from Kiyad Borjigon.--Enerelt (talk) 01:16, 24 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

No, he was not from Altan Urug, meaning he was not a Ghengizid. Moreover, Kiyat (Kiyad,Qiyat) in Moghulistan turkisized and became muslims. Later Kiyat was not listed among Khalkha tribes (modern Mongols) DiyarTokmurzin (talk) 13:51, 21 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Ethymology of "Mamai" name

[edit]

Kichik has a second meaning "a puppy" besides small "kichi/kishi" in Kipchak-turkic languages such as Noghai and Kazakh languages. At the same time Mamai can also be interpreted as tatar word "maemai" meaning "a puppy". This can explain the meaning of the Mamai name of Kichik Muhammed better known as Mamai ~2026-12639-05 (talk) 22:11, 25 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Per WP:V we need to cite sources if we are to include this. Mellk (talk) 09:34, 2 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
