Who was the eponym – Luke or Thomas?

Thomas’s article says: "In 1829, he added his own name to the parliamentary proceedings, giving it the title Hansard that it bears to this day."

Luke’s article says: "Luke Hansard ... was an English printer ... who gave his name to Hansard, the Journals of the House of Commons which he printed."

A slight confusion

The Journals of the House of Commons are the record of proceedings in the House, not a record of speeches. I don't understand the interpolation, with the clickable link to a Hansard front page. Kranf (talk) 16:15, 3 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
