What is a pip?

[edit]

Is a pip not the same thing as a seed? yoyo (talk) 04:29, 8 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Yahya Abdal-Aziz: I read the cited article and looked up a Korean dictionary. It seems like what the Korean word "yeonbang" means and what the cited article refers to as "lotus pip" is "lotus fruit". --Danpung (talk) 06:18, 8 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Danpung: Thanks! You mentioned a Korean dictionary - do you have a reference (preferably online)? yoyo (talk) 14:31, 8 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Yahya Abdal-Aziz: Yes, this entry (in Korean) in the Standard Korean Language Dictionary. The headword 연방 is transliterated as yeonbang according to the revised romanization system. --Danpung (talk) 09:31, 9 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
