Exoplanet Discovered in Helmi Stream
[edit]I'm not qualified to add this, but Helmi Stream just got important: Exoplanet from Helmi StreamJimaginator (talk) 22:28, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
Stellar Stream Analogy?
[edit]I don't really understand what a stellar stream is. Is a good analog comparing them to the rings of Saturn? When a moon or asteroid gets too close to a planet it gets ripped apart and makes a ring around the planet. So when a globular cluster gets too close to a galaxy, it gets ripped apart and makes a circle around the galaxy. Is that what they are. I really don't understand this. New stream found
[edit]being called the jet stream:
Specter stream and Orphan–Chenab Stream
[edit]Wikipedia needs articles on both of these recently discovered stellar streams. Specter is especially notable for being low visibility and possibly the first discovered of a new class of difficult to see stellar streams, remnants of anciently disrupted dwarf galaxies.
