City of David site: very fishy sources

The ONLY academic paper, published in 'Atiqot (for link see Times of Israel art.), isn't even mentioned. Instead, we have biblical maximalist blogs & outlets of the worst kind used as "refs".

The paper itself states that the rooms date from the Middle Bronze Age and that the complex was used for cultic purposes in the 8th c. BCE, but doesn't at any point discuss the essential question of whether it did serve a cultic purpose in the BA, before the arrival of the Israelites. When was the massebah raised? Any other cultic installations predating the Iron Age II? Nothing. All the blabber about an 18th c. temple, connected to Melchizedek & Abraham: pure maximalistic speculation for the benefit of those who $pon$or Elad & the City of David: zero scientific base, as reflected in Shukron's own peer-reviewed article!

1st, a blog of a rabbi, religious Zionist and settler ideologist, be it with a PhD degree, is not RS. 2nd, Bin-Nun sets Shukron as main author, but based on what? It's an exchange of opinions with himself.

A guided tour presentation, be it by a well established archaeologist, given to a group organised by a Christian biblical maximalist US tour agency, is far from RS.
